Apple's $350 HomePod Available February 9th
- Apple's HomePod smart speaker, star of the companies summer 2017 event, will finally be available next month when it comes to Apple stores on February 9th. The $350 speaker is also available for pre-order online this Friday.
Around seven inches high and powered by the same A8 chip that has powered some of Apple's older iPhone, the HomePod is Apple's attempt to do battle with other smart speakers like the Amazon Alexa and Google Home, but also with smart speakers like Sonos. The 'pod responds to "Hey Siri" commands with its array of six internal microphones and can recognize your voice even while its blasting music with its woofer and tweeters.
