The straw millionaire and the similarities to Steemit

If you're unfamiliar with the Japanese folk tale of the Straw Millionaire, the story tells about a poor man who becomes wealthy through a series of successive trades, starting with a single piece of straw and ending with him marrying a millionaire's daughter, thus becoming a millionaire. 

How this would work in reality is mindboggling the least but nevertheless the moral of the story is that if you're confident enough and provides solutions to the problems around you, a single straw can be your starting capital, a straw that is free and available everywhere.

As I venture further into my Steemit experience I cannot unsee the similarities of that story, as Steemit is a free platform for everyone to join and to share your thoughts and creations, which are rewarding for everyone in the community. 

We have artists, authors, musicians, mathematicians, engineers and so on in the community that shares everything from heaven to earth for free and educate each other and on top of that are rewarded with something that has real life value. In most case, this would be a tale too good to be true as there is no such thing as free money in the real world, but maybe there is finally a solution to that, maybe Steemit is the solution that has been awaited by many who wants to shares and educate or those who have limited resources, maybe it's the change the comes with the technology progressions that simplifies the average lives in this era and the future ahead. 

Who knows, this place might be the birthing place of something amazing, something that can change the world to the better for everyone and just the thought of being part of this community at an early stage and helped to spread the word about this invention makes me feel like my hands are part in fixing the world.
