Why you should Power Up 100% Instead of Default 50/50
Here is the main reason why You want to choose Power Up 100% Posts.
Power up 100% means that all potential money that you will make from your post will go to Steem Power.
You need Steem Power to be successful on steemit.com. If you don't understand Steem Power, Steem Dollar and Steem you can learn all of them in 1 post here: https://steemit.com/steemit/@adil/how-steemit-works-in-simple-words
If you do know what steem power is you know that Steem Power makes your Upvote a lot more valuable than a newbie's upvote : you need as much of it as possible and as soon as possible!
Always power up!!!
Powering up is good but if you do 100% power up, you will rather loose than gain. You should od 50/50 and later convert the steem to steem power. Kk
What if steem value went up 200% tomorrow and half of your payout was in SBD? That potential profit will be lost out on 🤔🤔
Steem power is equal to money, the more you have, the more you will have.
The TRUTH!!!
Bang!
Thanks for this. It took me a few days to understand how this worked.. But have since powered up as much as I can. And also set my posts and comments to 100% SP :)
I heard it was the other way around... 50/50 because SBD is pegged to the $1 and Steem is over that, you get paid more getting them into SBD and then buying steem power :)
Me too!!! @stackin
But maybe thats why I was generating so much at the beginning and now I am not???
When you transfer sbd to steem power the amount will still be converted to the amount that steem power is worth at the moment, so it wouldn't make a difference. The only difference is that you will have to convert sbd to steem power all the time instead of receiving steem power right away ☺
There is absolutely no upside to powering up 100%. You can use the SBD to power up the exact amount you want anyway.
I understand what you mean though of course, it's a long-term investment that will pay off more in the long run. But not everyone can afford to wait 13 weeks :)
Exactly :) and SBD is worth more... and u buy SP with it.
Nah you get equal SP afaik.
not if you buy it on the exchange, rather than clicking buy from your wallet.
Oh if you need to cash out anytime soon than, you would want to do 50/50!
I on the other hand try to keep everything in steem power since steem will blow at any moment and if you have money in sbd you will actually loose out on a lot of potential gain that steem value will bring
SBD is more stable than STEEM though.
You forgot about 1 upside to holding STEEM as STEEM POWER (if you ignore the volatility of it), namely you are immune to the 9.5% inflation on STEEM.
