The crypto cycles can be brutal and cloud people's judgements. Holders cry cause they didn't sell, sellers cry cause they didn't hold. It's like this weird thing where every user goes through the same mistakes cause they don't know if they can trust people and their opinions. Eventually they realize that holding was the safer bet in the long term than all the risks and implications with selling and exchanges, etc.
In the future Steem's chart history will seem quite irrelevant hopefully. If you're done stacking Steem, start stacking those future SMT's. ;)

It´s funny because actually your opinion about the topic influenced mea lot into stacking as much steem as possible, those conversations about crypto teached me a lot.
The cycle you mention is so true, and in the end I understand those wanting to jump off a cliff because they sold way too early... I prefer to be on the group of those who hodl no matter the outcome, rather than on the group of early sellers who may have made a minuscule profit compared to what they could´ve made if they knew how to stay calm.
Gotta start that SMT hunt soon! :D Thanks, really hope to make it perhaps by the end of 2019, but who knows, perhaps we moon before that and then getting one steem in rewards will take around 20 posts :P
