Hurt and pained 

So broken and forlorn 

I cry my silent tears 

and burn deeply inside 

Smile is a desperate act 

and the mask is a thin facade 

To hide the heart's bleeding

I am so lost 

So broken

Shh.. .. Listen to my tears 

Like the free highway 

Pain comes a stranger  

It will come unannounced
