RE: Visual Hierarchy

in Steem Skillshare5 years ago

Your layout conforms to some research that I conducted decades ago in visuomotor organization. Most people think that people are right/left-brained. In the case of how people process visual information, I found that there are four quadrants. People have a dominant eye. You can test this by pointing at a corner on the ceiling with both eyes open. Holding your finger steady and closing each eye alternately, you can quickly see which is the dominant one.

There is also another division. If you grew up with left-handed people in any of your classes, a few would point their pen upwards as they wrote, while others will point their pen downwards. I am one of the latter, and it is almost like I am standing on my head when I write. So people see things "faster" in either an up/down direction. Typical right-handed people will see things in the upper right corner first, lower-left corner second, lower right corner than upper left corner last. Your poster demonstrates the results of my experiment very well.
