Steemit Campus Invasion 1

in #steem-promo7 years ago

Hello everyone

Its really been a while since I made a post because I have been busy ensuring that the steemit campus invasion otefe was a success and also there have been very very poor network in Otefe. But Indeed the invasion was a success. Expectations towards the invasion was so high. We had so many people flocking into the hall as at 8 in the morning. Even the event started, the hall was filled with people anticipating to know what steemit is all about.

It was a great honour to host the likes of @bat-junior, @oluwatobiloba, @illuminatus, @mediahousent, @pearlumie, @steve1122 and @mimy, @ehiboss, @gbenga and @destinysaid.

@penauthor opened the meetup with a word of prayer. this set the event rolling as series of speakers came up to speak about steemit.
The MC @mediahousent did a great job. I can assureyou he will make a good presenter if he gives focus to it. His Youruba accent was so different from that of any Delta MC i have ever seen.
Bob I must tell you, he is unique.

@ehiboss was the first speaker. He gave the prospective steemians enlightenment about cryptocurrrency. He didn't fail to give the difference between cryptocurrency and ponzi scheme.

Since the emergence of cryptocurrency, people tends to mistake crypto to be a ponzi scheme. I think one of the reasons is because cryotocurrency became more viral as at the thesame time ponzi scheme came on board.
He said

Unlike Ponzi schemes and the likes that will surely end one day, because itis usually the last person who comes in that losses, in cryptocurrency, the cycle is bound to continue as everyday people keep coming back to reinvest and the event of one person leaving doesn't spell the end.

@Ehiboss did a great job setting every heart set for the next speaker @gbenga.

@Gbenga gave a vivid procedure on how to go about steemit. He gave us experential way we could grow on the steemit platform.

@gbenga said one of the ways you can grow on steemit it by communication. You should be social because if you are not social people won't know you exist in the platform and thereby not visiting your blog.

Con sistency he said was another way to become successful on steemit. I started blogging on steemit making nothing out of it but I kept on it. I stay at it until I became successful. He urged everyone to be consistent in whatever they have chosen to do on Steemit.

Speech by @destinysaid

@destinysaid was one of the speakers who gave a general overview about what steemit is all about. Till the day of the invasion, @destinysaid always say he wasn't a good orator but during his speech he was a blast.
I saw in him a great leader and a generous motivator. I must say this

Without the support of @destinysaid, the invasion would never had being a success.

The contest
The invasion didn't just leave the people empty handed. A karaoke competition was held. Dancing competition wasn't left out as well. Winners from both contest went home with cash prizes. @gbenga also paid the school fees of the winner of other contest. @ehiboss, @illuminatus, @bat-junior also gave compensation prize to others who participated in the competitions. So much to be said but I can't say all the great and marvelous philanthropic acts that was done during the meet-up. Free vouchers of more than 20k was disbursted to the first persons present in the meet-up by @destinysaid.

@Michaelcj came during the course of the meet-up. He contributed emersely to the meet-up. He help in organizing the dance contest. I heard people call him the blockchain entertainer.

The music question was also a blast. So many entries given to me before that day. Gospel songs, inspirational, R&B.Rap e.t.c.
There was a lady justina who was exceptional. She was a gospel singer who proved herself exceptional as her unique voice thrilled her audience

Finally

I wasn't left out as the organizer of the meet-up, I gave the need to be serious about making good use of steemit platform.
I urged them to give time and focus to steemit.
Community building wasn't left out. I enlightened them about the need for us to build better Nigeria community

I talked about them practising all that have thought.

People usually take things for granted whenever it is free but remember that whatsoever you recieve free was paid for buy someone you don't know.

The invasion to me was a blast and a huge success but this couldn't have been possible without my team. The likes of @kinggolo, @penauthor, @violed25th, @decoreign, @russiamarvis, @dlio and @Chrisval.

Thanks for reading

I mist admit that i admire what you guys are doing on steemit.
The first campus invasion i have heard of on steemit and it is so close the state i school in.

I do hope that you will cpme to my own polytechnic for an invasion. It will really help students there because the cost of living and feeding is very high.

I school at Federal Polytechnic Oko, studying elect/elect engineering.

KUDOS TO @ehiboss, @bat-junior, @@@oluwatobiloba, @pearlumie, @mediahousent, @mimy,@destinysaid, @steve1122, @gbenga, @illuminatus and @jackdogho.

**_YOU ARE ALL STEEMIT HEROES AND YOU DESERVE HONOUR

Thanks bro. It's all about building and impacting people with steemit.

Congrats @jackdogho for a successful meetup event. From the look of things, it will really take a couple of posts to teach us all the lessons of the meetup. I really look forward to that.

@largerben
