Best markdown editors you'd like to use for your posts!
If you're going to write some awesome posts on Steemit.com and to devote this at least several hours, you'd better choose your preferable markdown editor for this purpose.
The reasons are following:
- Your work can be lost if something happens with your internet connection.
- Internal editor is good if you know markdown or html syntax well. But what if you don't?
- With external editor you can write and save your post on your local computer when it is convenient for you and then post it at best time, when your followers (you can find them with steemvp, thanks to @roelandp ) or whales (catchawhale, thanks to @blueorgy ) are online.
So let's begin:
Stackedit
The first markdown editor I'd like to advise is in-browser
markdown editor Stackedit. That fact that it is "in-browser" allows you to use it with Google Chrome (and maybe with other browsers).

- Live preview with Scroll Sync
- Designed for web writers (can upload your documents directly to Blogger, GitHub, Tumblr, WordPress…)
- Simultaneous collaboration
- It allows to work with it offline
MarkdownPad 2
If your operation system is Windows and you don't like Slackedit for some reason, you might be interested by MarkdownPad 2
This one has two versions: free and pro.

- Easy Markdown formatting with keyboard shortcuts
- Fully Customizable
- Allows to use own CSS
- HTML and PDF Export
MarkdownPad Pro supports multiple Markdown processing engines, including Markdown Extra (with Table support), and GitHub Flavored Markdown.
With tabbed documents, a built-in image uploader, spell check, auto-save and syntax highlighting, there's no limit to what you can do with MarkdownPad.
Remarkable
This editor has not Windows support yet and for present day it can be used only for Linux-based systems. On official site it is written that 'The Windows version is under development!' so let's hope they finish it soon.
I'm personally have chosen this editor because it has all functions one may require for writing with markdown syntax and pretty nice look.

Of course, there are many other markdown edidors, I just told you about those I like most. Each of them is good for its own way and it is up to you to make your choice. But even if you decided to stay with internal steemit editor, I would recommend you to save your work at least every hour.

Thank you, I hope that somewhen steemit's editor wiil be like 'remarkable' but for now it is better to use some external soft.

I just did my first post and had the thought that there had to be a way to use another type of editor. Thanks for sharing this. I'm going to give Stackedit a try!

One way it is better is that you can edit your posts offline.
