This is really good and simple advice. You would think over the course of someone's life they would learn that being an ass to someone always has consequences, but people are still shocked to (re)learn that lesson.

I also think it is good for those that disagree with other viewpoints to learn how to personally handle those disagreements. Censorship essentially amounts to "see no evil, hear no evil", but pretending a certain viewpoint doesn't exist does not help the conversation. It is important to have open and civil dialogues, otherwise what are we doing?
