Thanks, @sykochica. I'm still working on getting my posting groove going on Steemit, but here's what I've done for most of my posts so far:

First, I look for anything that matches my post in the trending tags on the left of the main page. I choose the most relevant category there and post in it.

Then, I search for terms relevant to my post on the trending topics page. I try anything I can think of, and choose a few favourites which have the most exposure.

This seems to have been at least mildly successful so far. I have had at least one or a couple new visitors from each new post, and I feel that my viewership has been earned organically rather than relying on "clickbait" tags.

Are there any ways you think my method could be improved?
