Okay, let me tell you a secret.

I always read to my children when they were little. The stories I had to read were now longer. Soon I discovered the power of "passing the book." My son was an excellent reader, and before they could ask me to read, I would ask him to pretty please read to us.
I don't think he had finished the first page, and I was asleep. He would not put the book down until my daughter was also asleep.
