STEEM EVM Update: 7 Validators, Username Registration & SherpaSwap Integration
The Steem Virtual Machine (SVM) Public Testnet continues to evolve rapidly. Following the successful launch of the SVM App and the migration to a public network, I have implemented several key improvements to both the infrastructure and the user experience.
Today, I am pleased to announce that the validator set has expanded to seven active nodes, and we have introduced a seamless way for Steem users to register their identities on the SVM.

Expanded Validator Set: Now 7 Nodes Strong
Decentralization is the core of our mission. We have successfully onboarded three new validators, bringing the total to seven. This distribution ensures greater network resilience and community representation.

This diverse set of validators, including key community witnesses like @xpilar.witness and @yasu, demonstrates strong community support for the SVM project.
New Feature: Steem Username Registration
To link Steem Layer-1 identities with SVM Layer-2 addresses. I have now implemented a simple registration module in the SVM App.
How to Register:
- Send a minimum of 0.001 STEEM to @blaze.apps.
- In the memo field, include:
svm-register <your_EVM_address> - The system will verify the transaction and link your Steem username to your SVM address.
This feature allows for a more personalized experience within the SVM ecosystem and paves the way for future social-fi integrations.
SVM App Improvements & SherpaSwap Integration
I have made significant improvements to the SVM App (https://svmapp.blazeapps.org):
- Staking/Unstaking: The modules for delegating to validators and claiming rewards are now fully optimized and stable.
- Bridge Status: The bridge between Steem L1 and SVM L2 is functioning smoothly, allowing for efficient asset transfers.
- Coming Soon: I am currently integrating the SherpaSwap protocol directly into the SVM App. Soon, users will be able to swap tokens, provide liquidity, and farm yields without leaving the dashboard.
The SherpaSwap contracts have also been updated to ensure compatibility with the new validator set and network parameters.

- RPC Endpoint:
https://evm.blazeapps.org(Chain ID: 8163) remains stable and responsive. - Faucet Bot: Development is ongoing to automate test token distribution via Discord.
