Earlier today, my wife was queueing for bak kwa. Think of it as sweet BBQ pork. Many families seem to think it is a must have item for Chinese New Year. I think I heard before a slice of these are 350 sinful calories. They have started to increase the price and it will be most expensive on new year eve.

今天较早，太太在排队买肉干。许多家庭似乎认为这是过年的必买的。我之前好像听说过一片肉干含有 350 卡路里。他们已经开始提高价格，而且在除夕夜会最贵。

Next store were lots of people queueing to get their hair cut and do all sorts of things with their hair. It is "tradition" to raise the price two weeks before Chinese New Year and sort of 'tradition' to get a haircut. My last one was in October but I'm not about to queue. Hate that they increase the price too.

隔壁那家商店有很多人排队等理发。春节前两周提高价钱算是“传统”，理发也算是“传统”。我上次剪短发是在 10 月，但我不打算排队。反正也讨厌他们提高价格。

In the night, after running some errands, I went to try my luck at Okinawa. I know they don't have a habit of increasing price. Two were getting haircut and only one was waiting.

晚上，跑完一些事，我就去冲绳碰碰运气。我知道他们没有涨价的习惯。两个正在理发，只有一个在等。

So I went in to the machine, slot in $10 to buy a ticket and waited a while for my number to be called.

所以我走进售票机，投入 10元买一张票，然后等了一会儿我的号码被叫到。

Then I went in and 10 minutes later, I was already at th eopen area of HDB Hub recording my evidence.

我就进去，10分钟后，我已经在建屋局中心的空地上记录我剪过头发的证据。
