Colour, brings a completely different feeling to the frame of work. You might agree with me or not, but I think using the chiaroscuro techniques highlights the form of objects rather than it's context.

With less distraction, the eye can rest on details and geometrical shapes. Reality is paused as our confused minds observe a familiar thing devoided of colour. A fun game for our minds to play :)
