It was around 2014 when I first discover that I can actually draw. Since then I’ve been joining KL Sketch Nation (instagram: @klsketchnation) out and about in KL and met other talented sketchers who then became my close friends.

So almost every festive season, we will gather up as a group to go sketching in notable places in conjunction with the respective celebrations. Chinese New Year, is always my favourite time to go sketching.

2015

I remember this session being so closed and only a few people planned to casually meet up at Jalan Maharajalela to sketch the temple there.

But it actually turned out to be more than a few people 😂 friends brought their friends, so yeah more friends!

2016

I don’t remember much about this moment but I’m pretty sure this was during the whole team of KL Sketch Nation’s trip to Penang. Penang has many beautiful temples all across the city and this is one of it.

2017

Last year, KL Sketch Nation had their official 27th sketchwalk during CNY at Jalan Sultan, Kuala Lumpur. Quite a promising number turned up despite the drizzle during the first checkpoint.

We then walked to Jalan Jebat for the 2nd checkpoint.

For this year, I haven’t got the chance to sketch anything yet as I am so occupied with personal stuffs all weekend. Is the streak is going to end? Let’s see 😂
