This time around I would like to show some simple technique to create an interesting and hassle free artwork in a jiffy.

step 1.jpg

We start with some pencil sketches and I will include 3 types of blue colour and I will separate the 3 main objects which is the sky, hills and lake. It is important to find the horizon first.

step 2.jpg

Once you are satistified with the composition of the horizon I will include the flat colour by separating the important layers in photoshop. This is done by using silhouettes on each object that is important so that the rendering process for the painting will be fast.

step 3.jpg

Now we can start the painting process with more speed. I start with the main object on the painting first which is the castle in the middle of the lake. I will make this technique simple by using medium range of colours on the object so that it becomes easy for lighting and shadow for the next process. The part on the rendring of the painting I will focus point by point on each part of the island.

step 4.jpg

The next focus is on the surrounding of the castle. From the flat colour I will start incorporating shadow on the part of the object that I had layered by using dark blue.

step 5.jpg

Once I am done with the detailing process we move on to detailing of the painting which includes adjustment on the colours by using colour balance.

step 6.jpg

For the final part I will concentrate on the reflection on the water. The easy way is to copy the castle layer and then paste the vertical object and use the motion blur for a good reflection on the surface of the lake.

step 7.jpg

This is the final touchup in they sky so that it looks cloudy on the right side. This is to give more focus on the castle. Now the painting is completed and the entire process took only 35 minutes to be completed. Till we meet again.

Beautiful light :-) The brush you used gives the painting a good texture...Is it a brush frop Photoshop or did you create it yourself?

Hi @helenelenoble Thank you for your comments. for the brush, i download it from DeviantArt and do some adjustment for suitable on my style.

Yes, this is absolutely the golden rule of painting: volumes first and then detailing. This way you can see early on if your composition works or not.

That's right .. the rule's most important ..Thanks @onicreative.

thank you for this step to step work ! it is magic bringing alive all this !

Thank you for visiting my blog:)

Perfect specimen of art and good step-by-step lesson!

Thank you @yurche :)
