What is Steem-bounty?

Steem-bounty is a direct way to reward people more for the comments they make on posts. Aside from the earnings made when people upvote your comment, steem-bounty pays you steem or SBD for the comment itself. A bounty is the money paid to people who commented on the post. Since this money is paid in Steem or SBD, the program is called steem-bounty.

How it works.

The author of a post sets up a bounty for his post in steem or SBD. People compete for the bounty by making creative and original comments to the post. At the end of 7 days (when the post has paid out), the bounty is shared among the commenters.

How the bounty is shared

The bounty is divided into 2 parts of 80% and 20%.

80% of the bounty
The creator distributes 80% of the bounty among the voters. He votes for each commenter by a particular percentage he decides. When making the votes, he decides the percentage of vote to give each commenter according to the quality of their comments.

20% of the bounty
20% of the bounty is shared based on the value of the votes on the comments cast by steemit users.

How to create a bounty - introducing our brand new website!

Our brand new website is designed to make it so easy to see all the bounties created. It has amazing features to help you monitor bounties. One of those features is the ability to create a post and a bounty at the same time.

Before now, users create the posts on Steemit and also create the bounties in the wallet section. But with our site, you can now do both comfortably. The steps below will teach you how to create a bounty and a post using our new website.

Steps to create a post and a bounty using our website

Step 1. Visit https://steem-bounty.com/ Click on the login icon in the top right corner of the site labelled 1 as shown below:

Step 2. You have to login using steemconnect. Click continue as shown below:

Step 3. Select and click on your steemit username to continue. See Image below.

Step 4. You have logged in now our website. Click on the create bounty icon labelled 4 on the image below

Step 5. Enter the title of your post.

Step 6. Write your post.

Step 7. Enter 5 tags like you do on steemit.

Step 8. Add the beneficiaries. The people that commented on your post.

Step 9. Type their names and the % of the votes you wish to give them

Step 10. Set the bounty amount.

Step 11. Select the currency for payment. (Steem or SBD).

Step 12. Click the "Post" button to make your post.
