Steemit and life. (3 lessons I have learned in my first few days)
As some of you might already know, I joined steemit recently (my introduction post is right here). However, I am sure as all of you know it is not hard to fall in love with it. I can proudly say in this short period of time I have already figured out a couple of things about steemit that relate to life as well.
1. You get what you deserve
As in most things in life (if not all) you get what you deserve. Might seem unfair to some of you, but if you look deeper you will see the truth. And just a reminder - we do not deserve anything. You get what you work for. Law of conservation of energy. The amount of time and effort you put in your posts and comments will pay out - eventually and literally.
As if for life off the net, you think you got a bad set of cards? Even if you did, mix them up! Play like you have a fullhouse, not a pair of 2s.
What doesn`t kill you makes you stronger, right? But my question to all of you reading this (yes, you, not anyone behind you ;) ): how badly do you really have it if you can read this?
This leads me to my second point:
2. Gratefulness
If you are reading this, most likely you are in front of your computer or a smartphone. You have a computer/a smartphone and electricity to charge them. You have electricity in your house (and money to pay for it or maybe even solar panels that produce that electricity). My point is even if everything else is kinda falling apart in your life, you are luckier than probably 85% (if not more) of the people on the planet. Even if you are in this 85%, I am sure there is something in your life you are grateful for. Maybe it is your family, husband, wife, mother, father, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, grandpas, grandmoms, uncles, aunties. Maybe it is your friends you are grateful for, maybe neighbourghs. Maybe it is that stray dog down the road, maybe it is a smile from a stranger. Maybe it is just the sunny day or nice cup of tea. It is all about perspective. Life can be hard and uneasy, karma is real, but it does not mean we can not change anything. We do have a choice. Every single day!
3. It is what you give not what you get
If we constantly think about the things we deserve, because: "Hey, we do!" just by existing, we will constantly be in the space of scarcity. We lack something. We do not have something. I lack. I need. Me, me, me. Let me tell you: no, no, no.
Switch from "me" to "we"! Ask yourself: "What can I do to bring value to the others? What can I share that will help someone else?" This platform and life, in general, are about what we do for others. Do we increase energy by giving or are we human parasites? Sure it nice to have a big house with a pool and brand new car next to it, but it is all in vain if you are empty inside. And if you are, this emptiness can not be filled with another car or another house. Do I think you can have both of these worlds, of course! And I firmly believe it! The funniest thing is the more you give out, the more you will get.
Try out these 3 on this platform (and in life) then contact me in a year or two. ;) I am sure there will be something to celebrate.
Until next post!

Very wise words. I like the karma idea, I try to publish and upvote only quality content here with the hope that people will notice and appreciate it. Thank you for reminding me how lucky I'm to have what I have! It's crucial to remeber.
Thank you and you are welcome :)
