1. Please give a brief introduction of the open sources released on GitHub.
This time, STAYGE released 2 things as open sources.
The first is the smart contract for STG and ACT, which is the big axis of our STAYGE token economy. STG is STAYGE’s key currency and it connects each community. ACT is a community-generated token that is rewarded according to the contribution of the fans. The STAYGE platform now implements the token economy based on the ICON blockchain. This time, we implemented STG and ACT tokens on ICON’s IRC2 token standard and released it as open source.
The second is the STAYGE Wallet API. It is easier to understand to think of it as a medium that connects STAYGE service and blockchain. Basically, the creation of a wallet, creation of a transaction in a blockchain, and the easy integration with STAYGE smart contract are provided as a JavaScript API. Currently, ICON official SDK only provides Python and Java version, so we implemented as Node.js for the part where interface with ICON network. It is also available as an NPM package, so JavaScript developers will find it helpful to use our wallet API when developing ICON DApp.
STAYGE는 2가지를 오픈소스를 공개하였습니다.
첫 번째는 저희 STAYGE 토큰 이코노미의 큰 축인 STG와 ACT 토큰의 스마트 컨트랙트입니다. STG는 STAYGE의 기축통화로서 커뮤니티 간 연결 수단이고 ACT는 커뮤니티별로 생성되는 토큰인데 팬의 기여도에 따라 보상으로 지급됩니다. 현재 STAYGE 플랫폼은 ICON 블록체인을 기반으로 토큰 이코노미를 구현하고 있고 이번에 ICON의 IRC2 토큰 표준 기반으로 STG와 ACT 토큰을 구현하여 오픈소스로 공개하게 되었습니다.
두 번째는 STAYGE 지갑 API입니다. STAYGE 서비스와 블록체인을 연결하는 매개체라고 보시면 됩니다. 기본적으로 지갑 생성 및 블록체인의 트랜잭션 생성 그리고 STAYGE 스마트 컨트랙트를 손쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 자바스크립트 API로 제공합니다. 현재 ICON 공식 SDK가 Python과 Java 버전만 제공하고 있어 ICON 네트워크와 인터페이스 하는 부분을 Node.js로 자체 구현하였습니다. NPM 패키지로도 제공하기 때문에 자바스크립트 개발자분들이 ICON DApp을 개발할 때 저희 지갑 API를 사용하면 많은 도움이 될 것으로 생각합니다.
2. What technical aspects will be updated in the future?
I think the current version is the first step to implementing the token economy on the STAYGE platform. In the short term we are preparing DEX for STG and ACT conversion and a voting DApp to be used in the STAYGE community services, and the corresponding Wallet API will be constantly updated. In the long term, we will develop the STAYGE blockchain protocol, which is specialized in the entertainment industry, and release it as open source.
현재 공개된 버전은 STAYGE 플랫폼의 토큰 이코노미를 구현하기 위한 첫걸음이라고 생각합니다. 단기적으로는 STG와 ACT 전환을 위한 DEX 그리고 STAYGE 커뮤니티 서비스에서 사용될 보팅 DApp을 준비 중이고 그에 따른 지갑 API 도 지속적으로 업데이트될 예정입니다. 중장기적으로는 엔터테인먼트 산업에 특화된 STAYGE 블록체인 프로토콜을 자체 개발하여 오픈소스로 공개토록 하겠습니다.

About
Steve Cho has deep understandings in a variety of computer science and engineering fields such as a large-scale database, network protocols, and security. Steve Cho worked as a senior software engineer for KTDS, IT professional firm derived from KT which is one of the largest telecommunication company in South Korea. He has 10+ years-experiences with development and operation of customer & order management system for KT with more than 20 million subscribers. Steve was a software engineer at Oullim Information Technology, a network security company in South Korea providing full featured firewall/VPN products, for 3 years with contributions to adding functionalities of firewall engine such as kernel-level state synchronization via a multicast-based custom protocol between multiple firewalls, self-organizing load balancing without the L4 switch. He graduated and obtained M.S. from KAIST and B.S. from POSTECH for a major of CSE.
Steve Cho는 컴퓨터 공학을 비롯하여 대형 데이터베이스, 네트워크 프로토콜, 보안 등 다양한 엔지니어링 분야에 이해도가 높습니다. Steve Cho는 대한민국 대표 통신회사인 KT에서 파생된 IT 전문 회사인 KTDS에서 선임 소프트웨어 엔지니어로 일했습니다. 그는 2천만 이상의 이용자를 가진 KT에서, 고객 및 주문 관리 시스템 개발과 시행을 주요 업무로 10년 이상의 경력을 가지고 있습니다. 또한, Steve는 방화벽과 VPN을 구축하는 한국의 네트워크 보안 업체인 Oullim Information Technology에서 소프트웨어 엔지니어로 일했습니다. 그는 그곳에서 3년동안 일하면서 L4 switch없이 자동구성 부하 균형을 맞추도록 다수의 방화벽 간의 multicast-based custom protocol을 통한 kernel-level 수준 동기화와 같은 방화벽 엔진의 기능을 보강하도록 기여했습니다. 그는 POSTECH(구 포항공과대학)에서 컴퓨터공학을 전공하여 KAIST에서 석사학위를 취득했습니다.
