Just to clarify and for the (block) record..
Steem is the Blockchain. Steemit(.com) is a dApp, created by Steemit Inc., which is a Graphic User Interface (GUI) built to interact with the underlying Steem Blockchain - which also sometimes gets mixed up with the STEEM crypto currency 🤓

But don't blame me, blame it on Marketing.
(they really should have thought twice about the naming before 😂 but we all know that Steemit Inc. has some issues with marketing themselves and their products - no offense here, just facts! 😉)

After having this clear I'd compare the PALnet(.io) as another dApp/GUI with a similar look but another approach. An interesting one. For sure they have a great community behind which I would call the PALnet - without the .io 😄 not so sure bout that 🙄 Still confusing everything.
So how can one explain that to someone!?
Still puzzling me 🤔
