Twitter Activity #steemit May 10th - May 17th
There are two interesting points to note this week on the twitter activity this week ...
In this series I regularly analyse and publish a summary of the tweets with the keyword Steemit from around the world.
Twitter is more than just a news source. It is one of the most influential media outlets today. Everyone from the President of the United States to the Pope are on it. By analysing who is posting on Twitter about Steem/it we can get some interesting insights about geographical activity as well as trends in media penetration.
Global Activity
This first graph shows the number of Steemit Tweets Globally for the past 7 days.
i.e. the number of Tweets where Steemit has been mentioned (ex retweets)
- The trend here is interesting when you compare it to last weeks picture. The downward trend in activity is stabilising.
High Profile Tweeters
This next graph shows the twitter accounts with the biggest number of followers that tweeted about Steemit or with Links to Steemit Articles.
- @exploretravel1 has made a lot of tweets linking to Steemit Posts.

I think a sustained campaign on Steemit to implore people to share their posts to FB, Twitter and Reddit would be extremely beneficial. I can't understand why people don't do it.
Can you produce statistics to analyse what the percentage of shares/post is please ?
I do it. Many do. It's just not talked about. My accounts are smaller.

I appreciate that you're doing this stats report. However, I think I should mention something. I have a tiny account at Maybornstar that gets far more attention than my larger account at Brix617. So a larger account doesn't really mean that it can have more impressions or even clicks. Large twitter accounts also can unfortunately have a lot of dead/inactive followers that just accumulate over time.
It sure is all about the quality of the audience. That is most important.
