Steemwars Part 2 - The State Wars

Listen up people of SteemUSA, @gniksivart here and I have an announcement. Starting Sunday, January 28th, 2018 at 18:00 CST (6PM), the states of the USA (and any guests) are going to revolt against the government shutdown by declaring why we think our state is the best. This state can be one that you've visited, the one you're currently living in, the one you were born, or if you want a bit of escape an imaginary state/world out of a movie, comic, book etc.

No need to worry, this will be an organized and peaceful protest. Warning: Side effects of participating may include, but aren't limited to prizes and giveaways, posts payouts and views may be enlarged, the growth of wallets, explosions of your follower count, and you may even have to upgrade to a larger digital wallet. These side effects may be contagious so please feel free to spread them to others!

The Goal

The goal of this contest/event/battle is as follows:

1. To create the best content in the 24 hours that you will be given following the theme.

2. To support everyone who participates in this event (yes it's encouraged to support SteemUSA posts, but this is not limited to ONLY SteemUSA members, so feel free to invite others).

3. Discover new friends and gain new followers.

4. Set Steemit records by making this the largest and most popular contest/tag/theme during these 5 days.

5. To grow SteemUSA members and the SteemUSA account.

6. To become the biggest fan of your state by any means necessary. Stretching the truth is allowed and even encouraged! Lets put those college/sports bandwagon fans to shame.

The Rules

1. The first category will be released Sunday, January 28th, 2018 at 18:00 CST (6PM). Then 4 more will follow the next day at the same time giving you 24 hours on each topic ending Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at 18:00 CST (6 PM).

2. The Statewars tag must be used if you're in SteemUSA that tag is encouraged as well.

3. Upvotes, Resteems, or follows of the SteemUSA account announcements are only encouraged and not required.

4. I would hope that it's obvious that personal attacks and other behaviors not suitable for Steemit aren't allowed. Ripping on inferior states is highly encouraged.

Be Creative

Be silly, serious, share pictures, stories, or heck even make something up if you'd like. I'm not going to fact check anyone (though others might) and might have a few "holes" in the "facts" I'm choosing to share as well. If the government shut down ends before the start date the march must go on and the event will continue as planned.

The government may not know how to lead change, but I hope this next week will be the start of a great change for you on Steemit. I hope it will bring life, fellowship, community, excitement, and all kinds of talent I know that we have here on SteemUSA to the forefront. These posts can be in the form of videos, pictures, poems, small stories, any other form of communication you can think of. Use your imagination. If you want to write about Gotham city go for it. If you want to defend why the moon is better than any place on Earth be my guest!
