State Wars - Illinois - Bulls Symbol

I missed the first day for State symbols so here I am posting it late :). You know, I'm going to take a huge leap of faith here and say that there is no sports team or logo that stands out more to the rest of the world than the CHICAGO BULLS logo. Really there is one person responsible for that in my opinion. His name is Michael Jordan. Honestly this post is kind of going to be a test, I know a lot of SteemUSA users are going to see this and I think almost every single person that is a citizen of the United States knows who Michael Jordan is. I guess we will see if anyone comments that lives in the USA and doesn't know him.

Also curious to see how many users not from the United States end of seeing this post and wondering if they know who Michael Jordan is. I'd say he is the most internationally known athlete, but maybe all of this is bias since I've been in the Chicago area my whole life. Maybe I'm being narrow-minded about this, but do any of you have teams/athletes from your states that you think are bigger global icons than the Bulls?

Obviously a lot of this is remincising about the 90s Bulls (which I was barely old enough to really remember to be honest...), but the Bulls haven't been too fun to watch the last few years. Derrick Rose's run was incredible to watch his MVP year, but ever since his legs started failing on him it got depressing. Now we are in the slow rebuilding phase, but I'm sure this legendary team will rise to greatness.

I am from Eastern Europe and I'd say almost everyone in my country knows who is Michael Jordan. Great article, followed and upvoted :P

Haha thanks for proving my point!

My mom did a lot of shows in Chicago. Ive been a casino in IL once on the river...

I think I know exactly what casino you're talking about! Can't remember the name for the life of me though. I'm not a big casino person but I know my family has went there.

Its right on the iowa border.. i also went to rythm city in iowa too but i didnt gamble.. it was more of a sight seeing trip for me..

I'd said Michael Jordan is a pretty internationally known athlete for anywhere that follows basketball at least. The bulls is a huge symbol of Chicago and Illinois me things and the Bears I would think come a close second. Hopefully the Bears and the Bulls can rebuild and follow in the Cubs footsteps.

Chicago football is a BLAST when they're doing well!

hahaha I think the tailgating is the fun part at soldier field

The tailgating is the fun part at any field ;)

Well, I don't know Michael Jordan, personally :-) but I have heard of him! My two boys when younger wore his products..

We have Isiah Thomas for Detroit!

Hahaha good point! Thanks for your comment.

cool symbols @snrm

I used to love watching Jordan play when I was a kid, greatest player of all time

I come from s land down under and even before coming to the states the Bulls and the Symbol are so well known

Hahaha during the 90s this was definitely all to true. You still see some believers to this day. One of the guys, who no longer works for me, has that tattooed to his neck.

I'm from SA and I know of him haha! Although I am not very well versed in all things USA,it is so nice to learn about other countries!
