Introduction

They have opened the world to limitless possibilities ever since the inception of blockchain technology. The technology has tried to change the normal way of doing things. The transparency of the technology brings to the table has been a major boost to its acceptance. A lot of cool projects are being developed, and I think the future will be brighter than today.
This post will focus on another awesome project on the blockchain that enables its users to work together for a common goal. I know this project as Bounties Network.

What is bounties network?

I may define Bounties network as a platform that enables its users to create a task, place a bounty on the task and allow others to perform the task. It’s just like a freelance platform that allows users to create and perform different tasks for money. The main difference between the Bounty network and the normal freelance site is that in Bounty network, a user can create a task for fun or to motivate other users to perform an activity.

How it works

They base the Bounties network working principle on the ability to bring different professionals together to perform a certain task while getting rewarded.
For example, let’s say Mr A wants to motivate people to perform physical activities like rock climbing. Mr A will create a task requesting people to climb a rock. He will then give detailed specifications on the duration and where the proof of work should be posted. Mr A will then put a certain amount as a bounty. Other users who are interested in the task will then perform it in other to have a share in the bounty.

How to Get Started

Getting started on the Bounties network platform is easy. Follow the steps below to get started:

• Visit the website on https://explorer.bounties.network/explorer

• Click on the sign in button.
  

• It would require you to install a Status wallet. It would take you to a recommended wallet on your app store. Kindly install the application since it is where your bounties will be paid to.
  

• Open the wallet and create an account.
  

• Sign into the wallet

• Click on the DApps button.

• Click on discover Dapps.
  

• Click on the marketplace.
  

• Scroll down until you see ‘ The Bounties Network’. Click on it and allow it to take you to the site.
  

How to take part in bounties

• Click on the ‘explore button’.
  
  A list of bounties will be displayed there. Browse until you find the right one for you.
  After finding your perfect task, connect your status wallet to the Bounty Network by signing in.
  After sign in, perform the task, upload the required proof of work, as stated by the task creator, and make a comment with the required links on the task.

Components and features

Unlike my previous post, I would love this post to be as short as possible.
The platform has some components and features that make it unique. Below are some of them:

The leaderboard page

This page is where you get to see the top task issuers and also the top task earners. It is a good place to motivate yourself.

The explorer page

This page contains all the active tasks. It is where task participants go when they are looking for a new task. It has filters that ease user navigation.

The dashboard page

This is where all the tasks that a user as created and executed are seen. It gives full statistics of the user’s activity.

The profile page

This is where the user’s information can be found.

Advantages

The main advantage of this platform is the ability to create a task and get a group of professionals to execute it within your desired budget.
It also gives users the ability to earn from the tasks available.

Disadvantages

The site takes too long to load the explorer page on my device.
Signing in from my browser was not possible so I had to sign in using the Status wallet as mentioned above.

Comparison

There are lots of decent market places available, but what makes Bounty Network different is the ability to create a task for the benefit of the user performing it and not the other way round.
For example, creating a physical exercise task is beneficial to the performer and not the creator. However, the creator still pays the performer for this task.

Experience, suggestion, rating and conclusion

The platform is perfect for individuals who are looking for where to earn passive income. The Slack community is also impressive.

I suggest that they make it more mobile-friendly especially in the sign in process.
