Steepshot is a decentralized application that is built on the Steem blockchain. Steepshot permits users to share photos of their lifestyles and get rewarded with cryptocurrency (Steem and SBD). As many already know about Instagram, Steepshot is the instagram on Steem.

How to Get Started with Steepshot
First, one would require a Steem or Golos account to login to Steepshot. A Steem account is more appropraite and for those who do not yet have a Steem account, an instant steem account can be gotten at Steem Ninja
Next up is to login on Steepshot and start sharing your lifestyle. Steepshot has a mobile application (android and iOS) and web version. So, mobile users might need to download the application.

Steepshot provides two ways to login with a steem account:
Login by filling in ayour steem account username and posting key. Then, click login.
Login with steemconnect. Steemconnect is a safe and secured login interface built on the Steem blockchain.
How to Share Pictures with Steepshot

Simply click on create post.
Upload photo(s) that you wish to share by dragging and drop them or uploading them manually (a maximum of seven photos can be selected or uploaded)
Title: Write out the title of your post.
Tags: Add the necessary tags that best describe your photo(s).
Description: Steepshot allows users to describes their photos and sharing moments in a maximum of 2048 characters.
Finally, click on create new post to publish your photos to the Steem blockchain.
Key Features of Steepshot
Multiple Login Methods: Unlike many other dApps that simply provide a simple method to login, Steepshot offers it users to choose between two login methods. These are; login with steem account username and posting key OR login with steemconnect.
Freedom to use multiple tags: While Steemit and other applications on the Steem blockchain limits users to use a maximum of five tags, Steepshot gives its users to use as many as twenty tags on a single blog post as indicated in the image above.
Copyright: Steepshots policies ensures users photos are subject to copyrights and this makes it stand firm against pliagiarism.
Instant Notifications: Steepshot provides instant notifications of all activities related to a users account; be it comment replies, upvotes, mentions, wallet transfers and followings.

- NSFW and Post Control: Steepshot provides the options for users to decide on whether to view NSFW(Not Save For Work) posts and low quality, plagiarized or flagged posts through the application.

Shortcomings of Steepshot
Upload Timeout: Sometimes uploading photos to Steepshot for publication takes up to three minutes and in some cases timeout and one has to repeat the process once again.
Beneficiary Rewards: Steepshot takes 15% of author rewards for all posts or picture lifestyles published through the application. This is a big a big part of the reward for many.
Conclusion
Steepshot has a very beautiful and user friendly interface. I see Steepshot to be an essential application to have on a social media blockchain and thumbs up to the developers for coming up with this amazing application. Many people spend time sharing photos of their lifestyles and moments on Instagram and with Steepshot being the Instagram on the Steem blockchain, It sure does promote adoption of the blockchain.
