Anime x 1999

in #stateofthearts6 years ago (edited)

It is a work of fiction by the CLAMP artistic group that debuted as a manga in 1992 in Asuka magazine. It is the final apocalyptic that will live the world we all know. The destination is in the hands of a boy of 15 years, named Kamui Shirou, who must decide if he wants to join one of the two sides. Some aim to give a new opportunity to humanity, keeping everything as it is, after the Promised Day in 1999. Others, however, claim that the world deserves a revolution and that humanity must no longer dominate the Earth. The latter long for the Final Battle to arrive, with which everything will be devastated to start over.

The manga has been compiled in 18 volumes, but the plot has not been closed argumentatively. Even so and due to the clamor of the fans, in 1996 the authors of the controversial story premiered a movie of the same name, but in the United States was renamed as X / 1999, because there was already a comic called simply X. The film summarizes the work without getting to give answers to the unfinished plots in the series. After a quick presentation of the characters, the bloody battles to death, without apparent sense, follow one another inevitably.

CLAMP's work were and are still popular. The art was revolutionary and a refresher from hardcore shounen manga style.
