HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN *STAR WARS SPACESHIP* Sci-fi Paper Craft

We completely renovated paper craft, Millennium Falcon, which we made in 2003. It is the first time in 14 years. (As of July 2017) We
followed the basic design as it is, corrected detailing and wrong places, adjusted the proportions.
It took so much time to remake this falcon paper craft, as the Falcon of the distribution type paper craft, aiming for the world's highest level.
If we assemble as one off only for ourselves, we can make as much precision as possible, but refinement while incorporating the original proposition of "being able to be assembled relatively easily for any person of skill"
It was extremely difficult. As 3D modeling is not done as much as possible, emphasis is placed on the design at the work site, and it is designed to utilize the properties of "paper", so making should be a "fun" paper craft. It is a tentative answer at the present stage of "Balance of ease of making and realism" I studied for over ten years.
If you are confident in your arms based on this Falcon, you can try further detailing (^ _ ^;)

Although the 2003 edition is ambiguous detail, this time reproduced the 80 cm size Prop produced at the time of "counterattack of the empire" personally liked.
To make it finely, I made it larger than the previous size (24.5 cm) to 37 cm. I think that the balance between reproducibility and making response has become pretty well integrated (^ _ ^;)

Weathering is not drawn in the atmosphere but is depicted as faithfully as possible to the prop model of the "counterattack of the empire" version.

Although I thought about making a remake by dividing it by the panel line from the beginning, since the engine part Gotta mecha is still drawn, I thought that the balance with it would collapse and it was not adopted. I think that it is cool to keep the balance of the whole rather than making it real unnecessarily. (↓ Prototype of Panel Insertion)

The "counterattack of the Empire" version and the "new hope" version of the Falcon are similar and quite different. The following picture is a Prop picture of Falcon from the Star Wars Chronicle. The left is ANH and the right is the ESB Falcon. Even just by looking at it, considerable differences such as the shape of the beaked beak, the length and thickness of the cockpit are conspicuous. The proportion of the disk part is also different. It is natural to reach Gotcha meka, but it is completely different thing.
I believe that the newly created ESB version has been refreshed and refined. Unfortunately the new episode episode 7 and later Falcons follow the ANH version. Because the large model and the real set are ANH version, it probably was a choice without a choice.
