It was a fun night out under the stars! Favorite moment was when the audience literally lit up with Obi Wan when he engaged his light saber. Zzzzhhmmmm!

A night surrounded by Star Wars fans is always a joyful time. They are the happiest geeks around next to Whovians. A New Hope is 42 years old young and still collecting new fans. Watching the film again, I felt happy. Nostalgic. And seeing how timeless and well it was made way back when shows the film will yet gain new young jedis. My piano students love playing Cantina Band, The Imperial March and of course, the Star Wars Theme. I hope there will be Star Wars Symphonies for a long while. Can you imagine an audience celebrating the music of John Williams in 100 years? It will happen!

A was gifted a pair of tickets to attend the Star Wars Symphony at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa. It took us a bit over an hour to get there. I was really surprised that no one dressed up. But it’s summer and it’s hot. It was our first time at the venue. Look at this crowd!

Southern California has a lot of places to enjoy music under the stars. It’s the best summer party where you will get happy people vibes. Some venues let you bring picnic baskets and bottles of wine. We brought snacks. Pacific Amphitheater does not allow any glass. I need to remember to bring box wine.

If you ever have an opportunity to attend a Star Wars Symphony, go! Bring you own light saber if you have one. There was a giveaway of light sabers to the first 500 people. We didn’t come early enough to score one. But there was enough dancing lights that I enjoyed taking photos. Happy summer, everyone.
