Startup get ready: TILT wants to take you to CES!

in #startup5 years ago

Being able to participate in the CES in Las Vegas is a great opportunity for a startup: it is precisely in the vice capital that the most important investors come together every January in search of new unicorns. In fact, the Eureka Park section is dedicated entirely to start-ups and new ideas in general within the exhibition area.

But not everyone has the economic resources to deal with the journey, nor the contacts necessary to seize the opportunity, and that's where TILT comes in.

TILT is a think tank founded by Teorema and Area Science Park, a combination of public and private born with the idea of transferring skills to businessmen, managers and influencers of the public and private sectors. Basically, it wants to be the link between innovative startups and the investor and business world, in order to offer emerging talent the opportunity to become known and, above all, to be able to climb.

"We realized that our real task was to be a promoter rather than an incubator, supporting the processes of joining the business world with new digital technologies"-says Michele Balbi, President of Teorema-" Technology as a tool for accessing new markets and new customers needs to be criticized, creating new solutions that extend our traditional digital services products

TILT, together with Area Science Park and the Italian Trade Agency of ICE, Made in Italy-The Art of Technology, has been promoting the official Italian mission of startups for two years, aimed at demonstrating that Italy is not only capable of excelling in the fashion, food and automotive sectors, but also has a say in the technological field. Through this initiative, TILT will be selecting some of the most promising innovative start-ups from 2017 and bringing them to CES in Las Vegas, enabling them to get in touch with investors, established companies, be known in short, have access to finance and transform intuitions into concrete projects.

The call for tenders to select the startups that TILT will bring to the CES will be available from 14 June and stakeholders will have to register until 30 July. Not only will TILT give the winners a hotel room and a plane ticket, but it will also invest in their training to prepare them for the event. Interactive workshops will be organized through the Tilt Academy 5 in which it will be explained how to prepare a business plan, how to approach investors and how to implement the basic Elevator Pitch, the very brief presentation through which startups must convince investors to bet on their idea.

"To make Italy's culture of entrepreneurship and innovation grow, the role of startups is fundamental and B Heroes is pleased to collaborate on an initiative that enables them to give the best young Italian companies international breadth," said Fabio Cannavale, B Heroes ' founder.
