Star Wars Theory Volume #1: Jar Jar Binks a Sith Lord?

Every Star Wars fan knows the dreaded Jar Jar Binks, but did you know he actually might be a Sith lord?! Was Palpatine the only one of Plagueis' apprentices? Surprising to a lot of fans, there is actually a lot of evidence supporting this theory created by a reddit user called Lumpawaroo.

Evidence #1

Force leaps

Jar Jar's incredible 20 foot leap could be due to extreme agility, how many "clumsy" people/gungans do you know that can do multiple flips of the ground into the water? Also if you look at his jump very closely when he takes off, it looks an awful lot like it does when you see a force-user do a force jump.

Think back to all the people in Star Wars and attempt to find somebody that isn't a force user or is part of a species that can all jump incredibly high, and try to find someone that can jump that high.

Evidence #2

"lucky" fighting skills

In The Phantom Menace Jar Jar seems to get lucky and kill a lot of battle droids, but is it actually luck? As Obi-Wan said "In my experience there is no luck". When the droid body becomes tangled in his foot he somehow whips it around and gets it to shoot. After this he does the same thing to kill a battle droid about to shoot him. He has his back turned and couldn't have known it was there unless he had the force. There is the chance he just got lucky again but I find that unlikely.

Evidence #3

Influencing the senate

When Jar Jar is in the senate during the Clone Wars he is attempting to convince the senators to give Chancellor Palpatine emergency and he makes a motion with his hands. This motion is very subtle and many people missed it but could that be a mind trick? Maybe Jar Jar was just making a random motion but I don't think he was. I think he is a colleague of Darth Sidious, (aka Chancellor Palpatine), and was helping Sidious out. There are many other times when he does such a thing such as when he is about to be promoted to a general at Naboo and when Padme is deciding important galaxy changing matters.

So what do you think? Was Jar Jar just an idiotic character, or was the clumsiness just a ploy? I know after this I actually kind of like Jar Jar. Make sure you vote below in the comments! Thanks for reading and may the force be with you!

Upvote here if you think Jar Jar IS a sith lord.

Thanks for the article. From what I remember with Jar-Jar, George Lucas had actually intended the character to have a larger role in the trilogy. But, after so much negative reaction from fans George decided to rewrite the character into a much much smaller role for the preceding films.

It would have been really interesting if Jar Jar had the larger role that George Lucas originally had in mind for him.

If he is actually a sith I think he actually did!
