Stan Lee, the legendary writer, editor and publisher of Marvel Comics  whose fantabulous but flawed creations made him a real-life superhero to  comic book lovers everywhere, has died. He was 95.

Stan Lee, the godfather of Marvel Comics, has died in Los Angeles at age 95. His cast of characters, including Spider-Man, Hulk and the X-Men, were beloved by millions of readers for decades before becoming a multibillion-dollar movie empire that dominated box offices over the last decade.

Remembering Stan Lee

Stan Lee co-created beloved comic characters including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Black Panther, the X-Men and more.

Stan Lee, the man who helped create 'The Avengers', 'Spider-Man' and many other comic book characters, has died.

Since the dawn of the Marvel Universe in 1961, Stan Lee has been the public face of superhero comics, and the co-creator of some of the world’s most popular fictional characters. If that was all he'd done, he'd still be one of the most important figures in comics history. But with a writing career that's spanned eight decades, he also collaborated with amazing artists to produce some of the greatest comic book stories of all time. Here are ten of his absolute best…

Sad sad news. No more Marvel cameos :(

I thought I read he filmed a crapload in advance. Will be weird seeing him on screen for years to come if it is true.

Edit: Okay, what I read is already old news from April https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/stan-lee-more-marvel-movie-cameos , so it had referenced Ant-Man and Wasp plus Infinity War, which already has come and gone, but now he does have the second part to Avengers as well as Captain Marvel. I would love to see him one last time in the next Spider-Man too, I wonder if that was filmed.

We can only hope. When his last cameo rolls, it will be sad to know there will be no more :(

R.I.P
He is a real legend.
A well deserved 95.
Thanks for all you have done Stan Lee.

No way, I'm just reading this here for the first time. So sad, his universe will live on :)

I remember his distinct voice watching cartoons that he would narrate as a kid.

Then seeing him in movies later on was always a treat.

What a great run that guy had!

RIP Brother. May the bards sing your tale for 10,000 generations.

95 years is a pretty amazing length of time, and I mean, he was pretty damn all there very near till the end. Literally just years ago he would still be consistently taking stages and handling interviews all over. This was on top of whatever soap opera was going on with lawyers in family that he was dealing with that we don't know about. He really was an amazing man, it still hasn't fully hit me yet. I know we all expected soon with his age, but still sad.

I am trying to figure out what happened. Wikipeida says this...

Lee died at the age of 95 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, on November 12, 2018, after being rushed there in a medical emergency earlier in the day.

"Kirk Schneck, an attorney for Lee's daughter, tells CNN the comic giant died Monday morning. The cause of death is not yet known, according to Schneck." - Latest I'm reading, from an hour ago posted here https://www.ktnv.com/news/national/stan-lee-dead

What a sad day forever missed 😔🙏🏼
