StakingLab Shared Masternodes

With Crypto Coin Masternodes becoming a hot topic recently I have spent some time considering how I can get involved in running a node without the expense / risk of having to purchase an entire nodes worth of coins and also without the monthly costs of running a VPS myself.

For those who are just hearing about Masternodes for the first time, they are a great way to earn a passive cryptocurrency income. You purchase a set amount of a cryptocurrency and lock the coins away in an always-online wallet. This wallet stores a full copy of the blockchain for the cryptocurrency and provides some special functions to the decentralized network. In order to remunerate the people running these masternodes, they are paid out in the cryptocurrency of the masternode at intervals. This can translate into a very decent weekly or monthly income. The return on investment can vary greatly from coin to coin so make sure you do some research into your various options. Also, I have found that many of the coins offering extremely high returns on investment have a very short life span and you can be left holding a bag of useless coins quite quickly. As always it is probably best to diversify the masternodes you put your money into and spread your risk.

The StakingLab website with its vast current selection of 20 Masternode coins makes owning a share of a Masternode simple for even the non-technical out there. The website is very intuitive and easy to navigate, setting up a wallet and transferring coins from an exchange is very simple. There is no minimum amount of coins that you have to invest and once the coins are in your StakingLab wallet, you can add them to either and Instant Node for immediate rewards /withdrawals; or you can add them to a normal Master Node and wait for it to fill up with other users coins. The Instant nodes naturally have higher costs to run so the fees are a little higher so I opted for the Master Node with just 5% fees on rewards.

Pay-outs from your Masternodes will start as soon as the total required coins are available and the Masternode is Online. Pay-out frequency varies, and your share depends on your % share in the Masternode. Your pay-out goes into your wallet weekly and then you have the option of moving this onto an exchange to sell or you can just re-invest in another available Masternode.

One of my biggest concerns was always putting my coins into someone else's control - the same as leaving them on an exchange. I guess every person needs to make this decision for themselves, but I feel with StakingLab's online presence and support that the benefits outweigh the risks.
