Gone are those days when having a hairy body counts for something. Guys rock the wild and woolly body. It's a beauty for men and women who has looks cute, though having it at the chest region where it becomes so visible makes it sometimes disgusting. It really stress the kind of culture we've been entrenched in for so long. I got to know that women who has this kind of of hair aren't viewed well in the society. In the eastern part of the country, it's natural and common for women to have hair in between there chest, even have a moustache. For us here in the south, such genetic traits aren't common and women who have such are counted as witch.

I've tried several times to look deep into the genetic reason for this kind of a things but haven't been able to reach a conclusion yet. For sure, I know women from the northern part of the country NEVER had hair growing on there chin or chest.

How did we from the west escape this and those from the eastern part of the country didn't.

From time immemorial many of our culture have tried to shame the women folks the most more than men. Easily, the female gender can get stigmatised for any slight alteration either in tradition or cultural things. Loosing an husband brings stigma of being called a widow, the male folks totally go scot free for such a thing. Even in some culture he is told to have sex that same day he lost his wife to drive the spirit of the wife away. You can imagine that.

I personally believe there is a source to all these female shaming in our society, where does it actually come from and who entrenched this in the heart of man that the female gender is a weakling, the only ancient source I can find to this is the biblical story of Eve being taking from the bones of Adam. The ribs are less, yes. Does that mean there energy is? Talking of a gender that can independently birth a child and break more bones to bring a baby to the world. The strength to take care of the home, breast feed the child and still satisfy the man in the night. All by one single person.

I think we still need to bring more laws, initiative and NGOs on board to bring more of our women to par with there colleagues.
