RE: Imran Awan's Secret Server a Massive Breach of Congressional Data

This is potentially huge.

Outside of the "conspiracy theories" of an insider threat spy ring in the DC, this makes the ignorance argument used by the DNC (remember Hillary's "what, you mean wipe it with a cloth?" bullshit?) even less believable. You can't expect ignorance from an IT administrator, especially considering the level of expertise required at his position. Add to that the fact that he tried to hide evidence and flee the country? Yeah, DC is in BIG trouble over this one, even if MSM doesn't cover it.

Thanks for the astute comment. You're right, an IT expert cannot plead ignorance here. There really is enough evidence to merit comprehensive investigation into more serious charges involving Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and espionage.

I think a CFAA charge would be less likely. Traditionally, CFAA has just been used as a tool for the government to lock up dissident "hackers", much less likely they will use it against one of their own. BUT. It will be VERY tough to avoid conspiracy and manipulating evidence charges, possibly perjury, etc.

While I believe that it will be impossible to avoid proof of espionage and treasonous conspiracies, I, in this post 9/11 environment, am certain it will trivial to avoid such charges being laid against the guilty.

I predict immunity for Awan, and his wife. I predict DWS will go down, scapegoated via some contrived love triangle involving Awan, and maybe one, or even both, of his two wives. I predict a leaked video of same.

If Cheney and Bush were able to participate in the most deadly attack on Americans (9/11) and walk away unscathed - which they did - this particular conflagration is practically irrelevant.

We know what has happened to America, and the world, since 9/11. It is easy to see that this is simply part of business as usual for folks that arm ISIS against us, while spending our personal fortunes to do it.

Am I cynical?

It's just that I am unwilling to avoid the obvious conclusions that are glaring out of the mountain of evidence, and Awanna see the end of this sideshow. Can't we just go back to the good old days of cigars and blue dresses?

There is plenty of historical evidence that Awan was a shady character involved in many other types of criminal behavior before his time in the DNC. There is no reason to believe he wasn't continuing the same type of behavior.
