RE: Monkee Business // Day 20: The Red Carpet
Hi Raynen
Good for you declining a straw. It might seem like a small thing but those small things add up to big differences if enough people do it.
Sounds like you got lots of exercise today, football and dancing. Good for you.
So, you know what Shadows is like about me learning things. I tried to look up where the red carpet thing came from and why it is used to treat someone special. It seems to depend where you look, one source says ancient Greece when a wife welcomed her husband home from war with red tapestries in a Greek play. The other source says it was from 1902 New York when a railroad directed it's passengers where to go by laying plush red carpet down.
Could be either, could be both. Who knows. I agree with Cap'n Dreemie ... one day the red carpet will be rolled out for you and you'll be able to dance down it.
Great work!
Today you did 4/5 activities for 80 points. You have a balance of 1490
