The Steem Network can be slow at finding you... it does take persistence, and I mean persistence unless you already have a community of friends and followers on here. I highly recommend interacting with other who post things of interest. Up voting, comment and replying on others' posts is key, as well of course good content and adhering to good internet etiquette (do people still remember this word?).
