AC Milan manager gennaro gattuso has mutually terminated his contract with the club after failing to qualify Milan to the champions league.

Milan missed out of the champions league spot with just one point behind inter and Atalanta.

AC Milan are yet to appear in the champions league for over eight years.

Milan has released a statement thanking gattuso for his service at the club.
