The Frenchman's re-entrance into the throne, that is the dugout for the Spanish side, has seen a significant increase in his take home pay. Sure, it was always going to be bigger because the conditions are different from last time.

When Zidane first became first team coach for the Bernabèu side, his was a new face and with no previous record of success. It was more like a 'trial and error' approach. The Frenchman however showed what he could do, winning the champions league a record three times in a row.

With the ball at his feet, Zidane brought the world to their feet and even after hanging up his boots, the Frenchman still continued to prove he's not let go of the genius gene.

Leaving the job ten months ago made many fans, Madrid's or not, sad and pained. He had accomplished so much in so little time.

Perez must surely have done all it took to get the man back. One of that was to increase his salary. From the £7.5 million he took in the first term, Zidane would now earn £12 million in a contract that runs till 2023.
