Real Madrid are out of the Champions league

Well, it's not like I wasn't expecting this. However, I expected that they at least reach the semifinal of the competition.

The way the team have played hasn't really shown the class that Real Madrid are known for. The biggest mistake that Real Madrid, and indeed Fiorentino Perez made was to sell Cristiano Ronaldo without bringing in a suitable replacement.

Having to rely on Karim and Bale was good for thr players' confidence but sometimes there's more needed than what you currently possess.

The both forwards have shown to be badly inconsistent and a youth talent from Brazil has shown to be performing more than they both.

Wherever Ronaldo is at the moment, he'll be having a last laugh. I don't know if he's secretly wished that Madrid crashed out of the competition. What would be more painful to the Bernabèu faithful would be Juventus eventually lifting the Champions league trophy.
