Mourinho insists he has the backing of the players

It’s surprising to hear of this as many news outlets have it that nearly all of the players are fed up already as well as the backroom staff. The Portuguese time at the club has seen many senior players criticized and embarrassed publicly.

After the match yesterday, Mourinho was asked if he has the full support of the players and the manager’s reply was that he believes so except that the interviewer was referring to his players as being dishonest. He said he believes that the players are not dishonest and that the players try to give their maximum capacity in every game.

The gap between the two team could be seen from the statistics as Liverpool has 36 shots, 30 more than Manchester United were able to strike.

The Portuguese opted to leave some of his best players on the bench the likes of Anthony martial and Paul Pogba and the later didn’t even feature at all even though he brought Anthony Martial late on.
