Valentino Rossi is determined to take the podium at the Austrian MotoGP this weekend. The Doctor strives for maximum results on the unfriendly Red Bull Ring circuit.
The 11th MotoGP series race will be held in Austria on Sunday (08/12/2018), with the Austrian Red Bull Ring Circuit being the arena.
Since Austria re-entered the MotoGP calendar in 2016, Rossi had enough trouble at the Red Bull Ring. In 2016, the Movistar Yamaha rider only finished fourth and dropped to seventh in 2017.
After finishing fourth in the Czech Republic MotoGP last weekend, Rossi hopes to get on the podium in Austria. The test results at Brno are also expected to help climb the podium at Red Bull Ring, which has not been friendly so far.
"The Austrian circuit has never been positive or been a favorite for us and last year we suffered. But this year's motorbike has increased and we will try to have a good weekend and fight for the podium. We will do our best," said the MotoGP world champion seven times. it was quoted by Crash.
"August is a very intense month. After the race and tests at Brno, we will soon return to the track at the Austrian MotoGP. This allows us to return to work to improve the bike," he added.
As for the last two seasons, Ducati was so powerful at the Austrian MotoGP. After Andrea Iannone won in 2016, Andrea Dovizioso came out as the fastest rider last year.
