Win at Hungaroring, Hamilton Can Vacation with Calm
The victory in Hungary GP solidify Lewis Hamilton position at the top of the drivers standings. This situation makes Hamilton can take a holiday with calm.
Hamilton dominated the race at the Hungaroring Circuit on Sunday (29/07/2018). Starting from pole position, the Mercedes rider finished in front of two rivals from Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.
This is Hamilton's sixth victory in Hungary and the 67th in his career. He also won at the Hungaroring in 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2016.
Hamilton, who also won the previous series in Germany, now top the pebalap standings with 213 points, 24 points ahead of Vettel who is ranked second.
"I really can only dream that we will be in our position right now.I am very excited, entering the competition, especially with two consecutive wins," Hamilton said as quoted by Reuters.
"I think the impulse will last for our team and it gives the spirit to everyone, so I am enthusiastic to welcome the holiday," Hamilton said.
After this, the Formula 1 competition will be off about a month and continue on 26 August with the Belgian GP.
"We came here to know that Ferrari will be very fast this weekend so we can take this as a bonus," said Hamilton.
"I'm really excited by how strong we are in the last few races, we have to be strong in the next half," he said.
