Spurs fought hard to defeat Newcastle

In the 24th week of PL, Spurs won against Newcastle to pressure Liverpool and City at the top. They came to this match after winning against Watford.

At Wembley Stadium, Spurs was without Kane but Son started after coming from Asia Cup. Without Kane, Llorente started upfront. But they failed to score in the first half. They had some good chances but failed to utilize.


But Spurs tried to get back in the second half. Till 83 minutes, Newcastle was able to hold Spurs. But Son Heung-min scored in the 83rd minute of the match. Fernando Llorente provided the assist.

With the win, Spurs is third in the table with 57 points. Liverpool is at the top with 61 points while City has 59 points. Watford is at the 15th with 29 points.
