ManCity defeat ManUtd in a one-sided affair

In a one-sided affair at Etihad Stadium, Manchester City defeated Manchester United by 3-1. Both teams started high after winning their respective midweek matches. Manchester United was once again outperformed by their opponents on a day United started the match without their star player Pogba.

The absence of Pogba was vivid in the midfield. United struggled throughout the start of the match. United conceded the first goal in the 12th minute as David Silva found the net. United was resilient in the remaining time of the half as the first half ended in the 1-0 lead for United.

But as soon as the second half started, Sergio Aguero got the goal for ManCity in the 48th minute to put ManCity to a 2-0 lead. In a one-sided match, United got the goal scoring opportunity as Lukaku got the penalty in the first touch after being substituted. Martial converted the goal to bring 2-1. United showed some sign of comeback but the tired squad after facing Juventus couldn’t cope with the City attack and they conceded in the 86th minute. Gundogan got the goal for City for the comfortable lead of 3-1 and the game ended in 3-1 for City.
