Liverpool defeats Palace to stay at the TOP

In the 23rd week of PL, Liverpool won against Palace to stayed at the TOP. They were looking to win this one after winning the last one tightly against Brighton. Salah scored the only goal of the match. Palace lost against Watford in their previous fixture.

At Anfield, Liverpool was behind in the 34th minute as Townsend scored for Palace. Liverpool was 1-0 behind as the first half ended. But Salah and Firmino scored the early second-half goals to bring Liverpool back in the lead. Palace also defeated City this season and was looking for another upset here.

James Tomkins got the equalizer in the 65th minute to pressure Liverpool. But Mohamed Salah scored again in the 75th minute. Liverpool conceded red card in the 89th minute as James Milner got the red. Liverpool pressure was minimized as Mane scored just after it. Palace blasted with the attack, Max Meyer got the third for Palace. in the 90th minute. But Liverpool held on to win it by 4-3.

With the win, Liverpool is at the top 60 points, ahead of City by 4 points and Spurs by 9 points. Palace is the 14th in the table.
