Germany down to League B as Netherlands defeat World Champion France

In a one-sided affair in Netherland today, the home side defeated the World Champion France. In League A, group 1 which had Netherlands, France, and Germany in it, both the Netherlands and France now have a chance to play the final. The final match in the group is between the Netherlands and Germany. The Netherlands can go to the final if they pick up the win here. But Germany even cant escape relegation as they are down to the bottom with 1 point, 5 less than second-placed Dutch side. 2014 World Champion Germany is winless in the group.

In todays game, Netherlands dominated against France team. Liverpool player Wijnaldum provided lead to the Dutch side in the 44th minute. Depay added the second in the last minute with the penalty. In a one-sided match, France only got 2 shot on target while Netherland got 12 shots on target.

It was one of those days, France was not at its best. They were without injured Paul Pogba but still had the stronger line up to start the game with. France, the World Champion was completely dominated by the Netherlands who had been absent in 2 major tournaments previously. The Dutch side missed both the World Cup and Euro Cup. Last month, they also defeated the previous World Champion Germany by 3-0.
