Danny Welbeck suffers a serious injury

Danny Welbeck, the player whose career has been much affected by the injury has sustained another big injury. Yesterdays, during the Europa League fixtures against Sporting Lisbon, Danny Welbeck started for Arsenal and left the field on the stretcher. It is believed to be a serious injury which might sideline him for some significant time period.

During the game, he jumped for a header but unfortunately made a wrong landing. On his landing, he hurt his right ankle in the 30th minute and was taken out. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang replaced him for the remaining time. Arsenal played 0-0 draw against Sporting Lisbon. Sporting Lisbon was limited to 10 men during the last 3 minutes as Jeremy Mathieu conceded a red card.

After the stalemate, Arsenal is on top with 10 points and Sporting Lisbon is following Arsenal who has accumulated 7 points in Group E of Europa League.
