Taiwan U-23 national team coach, Pen Wushung, admitted malely the defeat of his foster children from the Hong Kong National Team U-23 in the preliminary round of Group A football sports at the Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, Wednesday (08/15/2018) evening. In the match, Taiwan lost by a score of 0-4.
Taiwan itself has now swallowed a landslide defeat with a score of 0-4 in a row, after in their second match in Group A, Indonesia National Team U-23 was also cleared.
Against Hong Kong, Wushung said his team made a lot of mistakes, especially in the first round. As a result, the Taiwan goalkeeper who was escorted by goalkeeper Pan Wenchieh had conceded four goals in the first half.
"We have made a lot of mistakes this time around. We lost focus, but in the second half we tried harder. But it was difficult after falling behind 0-4 in the first round, we could no longer chase after opponents," Wushung said.
"We have struggled, but conceded a lot. We have trouble scoring numbers in this game," added the coach.
"We made a lot of mistakes in the first round. During the second half we tried to reduce the mistakes and strengthen the defense, so we also had difficulty scoring goals," he said.
In the next game, Taiwan U-23 national team will face Laos U-23 on Monday (08/20/2018). The match will be held at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor.
