CAHILL ENDS INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL
The former Everton forward Tim Cahill has hung his boots from international duty having got 107 appearance with Australia, also as their all time highest goal scorer.
The forward last featured for Australia national team in a 2-0 loss against Peru in the Russia 2018 world cup, stepping on the pitch in the second half of the match as a substitute.
Cahill will remain in the list of Australia football heroes if he is not the greatest ever, having scored 50 goals for the national team and featured in four World Cup tournaments.
The former Australia international took to the social media twitter to announce his retirement at the national level and how he has so far found it exciting to represent the Socceroos.
