Prastawa Recognizes South Korean Excellence

Andakara Prastawa Dhyaksa admitted that the Indonesian basketball team played less well when they lost to South Korea. The team must learn from South Korean games.

The Indonesian men's basketball team faced South Korea in the Basketball Hall, Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, Tuesday (08/14/2018), in its inaugural match at 2018 Asian Group A Games. Indonesia lost 65-104.

In this match, only two Indonesian players were able to score two-digit points, namely Prastawa with 20 points and followed by Andre Johnson Jamarr with 16 points.

Meanwhile, South Korea has six players who recorded double-digit points. Ricardo Preston Ratliffe contributed the most numbers with 30 points.

"Yes, as we had expected, they are indeed strong. We have to learn from them. South Korea is good at shooting and has big players as well. We got inside and outside too," Prastawa told reporters in the mixed zone.

"There are some that are not okay from us. Our offensive is okay, but the defense is rather tight. We also had a lot of doubts, but that is not a reason we must be better than this," Pelita added. Jaya.

In the next game Indonesia will meet Thailand on August 20. Indonesia will try to study opponents through video recordings.

"The coach team has been monitoring (Thailand) too. There are still six more days for the opponents of Thailand. We will watch their videos. There is no talk yet, but certainly from here we will recover first after that, then focus on the opponents of Thailand," added player number 7 is back.
